Heartland to Present PFAS Separation & PFAS Destruction at Upcoming Science of NEWMOA Conference

Heartland is excited to present our PFAS solutions at the upcoming NEWMOA Conference The Science of PFAS: Public Health & The Environment! The presentations will be centered on our proprietary technology the LM-HT® Concentrator and the Heartland HelioStorm™ and the roles they play in addressing per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) separation and destruction respectively.

For registration details please head to the conference website.

PFAS Separation & Concentration Through Leachate Evaporation

On Wednesday April 3 from 4:30-5:00 PM EST Product Marketing Manager Mike Ditton will present:

  • The Heartland Concentrator as an effective PFAS separation technology for long & short chain PFAS

  • Assured PFAS Separation validated through a recent mass balance study at two US landfills

  • How concentrated PFAS residuals can be contained within the landfill or further fed to stabilization or destruction technologies

Ultra-High Temperature Ionic Gasification for Biosolids Management, PFAS Destruction & Hydrogen Production

Thursday April 4 from 4:00-4:30 PM EST Heartland’s waste conversion team lead Jim Henderson will discuss:

  • Ultra-High temperature (10,000 C) for Assured PFAS Destruction of short and long chain PFAS

  • Ionic Gasification has been shown to destroy PFAS without producing contaminants such as tars/oils, acid gases, and sulfur compounds in the syngas

  • The high energy syngas can drive high energy recovery for waste heat utilization for biosolid drying and electrical energy for gasification
